Fishing Rod Holder
What really drives me crazy is when you take your Fishing Rods off your Jetski and lean them up against a wall or even the Jetski and they fall over and often crack an eye. That could go unnoticed until your next fishing session when you lose a good fish due to a cracked eye on your Rod.
Here is a quick project that can easily be done on a weekend or even one night after work. All you need is the following:
A Plastic Milk Crate from your local Plastic Shop.
A few Cable Ties.
Some White PVC Pipe from your local hardware store.
Use of a Tow Ball
Hacksaw
Grab some White PVC Pipe from the local Hardware Store which is the correct size for your Fishing Rods either 40mm or 50mm
Cut to your desired length which would be about 25 to 30cm
Drill a few 6mm holes near the top and bottom to accommodate the Cable Ties
If you want a better look and make it easier for your Rods to go into the Rod Holde you can heat up the pipe and push it onto a standard 50mm car tow ball. This will shape the PVC Pipe perfectly to look like a Rod holder.
Place a Rod Holder in each of the four corners of the milk crate and two in the centre and cable tie them to the Milk Crate. And voila! There you have a perfect platform to store your Fishing Rods and tackle while you wash off your gear.
