As the name suggests the Dead Bait Trace is for dead baits. You can however remove the small sinker and use as a drift trace or use as a live bait trace with a flasher. When this Trace is Trolled with a small sinker slipped over the front hook at the correct speed your bait will swim enticingly through the water. The correct speed will change depending on water conditions, but you want the bait move side to side more use a smaller weight. This is a deadly method to catch all species of fish but particularly Couta (King Mackerel) You can use Mackerel, Sardines, Redeyes, Mozzies. When trolling at lower speeds where your bait fish will be pulled slightly below the surface and due to the design of this Jetski Fishing Trace your bait will not spin.
